  1. I think it makes sense to go for a star signing, the outlay would be recouped in sales and sponsorship in no time. Haaland makes the most sense, a proper number 9, but i also don't mind the back up options that are being talked about. Isak would be a fantastic second choice. i'd also bank on a few of the current forward options being shipped out to fund it.

like others have said, we shouldn't worry about Madrid and their signings, but if they were to go out and get both Mbappe and Haaland, that would be pretty catastrophic in my opinion.

  2. definitely not a great transfer window, but given the trouble we're in we have to look at some positives.

Emerson was only brought back so we could sell him for a profit.

got a load of wages off the books now, and those that we couldn't farm out have been backed into a corner so have to reduce their wages, they also know they only have one more shot to earn a future at Barca.

so much youth coming through, Koeman will have to rely on a lot of them if we're to get anything from this season.

Laporta building for something big next season, Haaland maybe, or will he sneak in and try and swipe Mbappe out from under Madrid?

Granted, Luuk De Jong doesn't exactly set pulses racing, but now Koeman can have no excuses as the board got him 2 out of the 3 players he personally asked for, and we got rid of Griezmans wages.

Don't think we could've expected too much more out of this window with the debt we have, Laporta trying to steady the ship, this season was always going to be tough, even more so when Messi left, but I think this is all being done with the eyes on next summer, new coach, new star signing, we begin the next cycle.

  3. it hurts, it really does.

maybe this will spark a new dawn, start to clear the debt, rebuild around youth players. it's going to take a while, but we can reinvent ourselves a bit here. we've seen the last few years the reliance on Messi to dig us out of a hole, but that also came with a dependence to look for him with every pass.

not saying it's going to be easy, but we've lost huge players before and come back.

i'm really hunting for the positives here.

100% we're getting drawn against PSG next year though.

  4. I'm against selling Griezmann, think he's starting to turn it around and he's linking up with Leo and Alba quite well.

The rest can go, wanted Pjanic to work, but it hasn't. Coutinho, not exactly lit up the pitch when he's been fit.

Firpo, Umtiti, Braithwaite I think are ones that need to go, and depending on who we can get to come in defence-wise i'd be tempted to let Lenglet go as well.
