  1. Pleased Xavi is staying it's the best decision for the club. It's been clear the winners of the league was decided at the start of the season you just have to look at some of the decisions last Sunday. Still plenty of work to be done Xavi must bet on the young players get rid of the Joaos sign a defensive midfielder possibly a striker and for me it's time up for De Jong and Raphinha.

  2. Just caught up with the game as I was out earlier totally shocked that Xavi has announced he will quit. Hope this doesn't end up in a ten year decline see Manchester United. Terrible result tonight but after winning the league last year for me Xavi deserved one more season. Players have been shocking they've really let Xavi down so many just look like they just expect to turn up and be given the victory. You cannot doubt Xavi's love for the club feel really sorry for him it must be like he's had his heart ripped out.

  3. If anything comes of this in the end I'll be surprised it's all about throwing mud at the club and president. There are a lot of people out there that want to destroy FCB for their politics and what they stand for. They'll drag it out and throw as much mud at the club as they can. They can't stand what the club has achieved in the last 20 years. And I bet a certain section of people who support the national team were not happy how big a part the Barca players were in the world cup win.

  4. Lewandowski looks a fantasy now. This -144 million is a killer. Need to make room in salary even for free transfers. Thought Memphis would leave he'll probably have to stay next season. Everything is going to be on Ansu Fati hopefully he can stay fit. Aubameyang can score great goals but he can also completely disappear in matches.

  5. I think the seating issue depends on how much you are able to spend, because the trip is so expensive anyway to fly from Glasgow or Edinburgh there is no point getting a ticket way up in in the top tiers. I haven't been behind the goals but I was right down at the corner flag on the Lateral side once it was an incredible view for action at that end. Next time I would probably try to get a ticket in the bottom section of the Lateral maybe a about 6 rows from the pitch towards the half way line it's a cracking view.

If you can go this season I would because from what I've read capacity is only 50% next season due to work then the next season is at the Montjuic so I'd imagine it will be difficult to get any type of ticket.

  6. (Barcatoon edit - moved some of the comments on Haaland into this new thread)

The president is all in on Haaland, what worries me is if they don't get him then go down to the next targets none of the names mentioned so far sound up to much, some talk of Jaoa Felix for example that's getting back into Coutinho vibes totally against that signing.

  7. If you don't think the board are going to go for a massive signing in the summer you are living in a cupboard, you can't just let Madrid go in for Mbappe and Haaland the president clearly wants Haaland.

Of course it's best to look for young players coming through and invest in La Masia but the idea that the club is not going for big money signings anymore is a fantasy. They are hardly just going to hand the Spotify money straight over to the bank.

The return of Messi I'm not saying it's likely but I wouldn't say impossible. Who thought Dani Alves would come back.

  8. The return of Messi story is bubbling away in the background, he hasn't settled in Paris, he doesn't feel loved and the press are on his back. I expect this will bubble away for the rest of the season at a low temperature then next season it is just going to snowball reaching fever pitch whenever PSG go out the Champions league.

I can't understand why the board aren't putting more effort in an attempt to sign Mbappe I know money is tight but maybe they can use that Spotify money can't let Haaland and Mbappe go to Madrid.

  9. Looks like Griezmann has went back to our direct title rivals, I'm sure this will not come back to haunt us in any way. They've had us over a barrel with that transfer.

At least we've registered injury prone Aguero, Coutinho the biggest flop in recent times also stays we've got a tasty 20 mill to pay Liverpool if he plays a couple more games.

Emerson also gone but you know we've still got Pjanic well unless we can magic him to Sevilla in the next hour.

And let's not forget we've lost the best player in history. I can only watch these events and in the words of Fred Trueman ask '' What is going off out there?'' and walk off into the distance chuntering away to myself mind truly boggled.

  10. Yeah Demir is registered to the B team just read that as well. At least that's something, struggling to find any good news stories this week.
Nearly fell off the couch earlier when I read Juventus were trying to send Arthur back in the Pjanic deal, that truly would have been the end of days.

  11. In other news from what I've just read we've only got till Aug 13th to register the new players for La Liga and to do that we've got to reduce the wage bill by 20% how are we going to do that in 3 days? Considering Depay and Demir have looked like the two best players so far how is this going to work if we can't play them. Why is Laporta in Ibiza? What is going on here.

  12. This is my 100% unlikely hope for the press conference tomorrow- Messi comes out and says he understands the club situation he'll sign for 1 year for a nominal fee and take it from there. I can deal with the despair it's the hope that kills you.

  13. How can they even consider keeping Coutinho if he plays 5 or 8 more games we've got to pay another 20 million euros he's not even fit to clean Messi's boots. How can the board let that go ahead I'm boiling about this whole fiasco.

  14. If this is 100% the end of the line, no last minute twist. There will be no hiding place this season, no Messi to the rescue again and again. Koeman's job just got even more difficult by an incalculable amount. Fans back in the stadium, if the players do not perform they will get a roasting.

  15. Haven't seen this player much but a 31 year old on big money who probably wants a 3 year contract sends all the wrong messages to the young players. What if he doesn't settle in to the team like Pjanic for example, we're not likely to be able to sell him so we've got another problem player hanging around taking big money.

It's a no from me. Let's bet on the young players Riqui Puig, Ilaix Moriba and maybe Alena if he comes back from loan. No more big money 30+ players La Masia is the way.
