hi mate, i also follow Villa. Dont go as often anymore, got bored to death with the lack of enjoyment of the EPL and its 1 dimensional football. Probably go 3-5 villa games a season in comparison to 15+ Barca. Enjoy the forum

Does a group of you travel to games from this site?Pretty much so yes, travel from all over the UK and meet up when we get there.

ye we usually have a few members in BCN for most games,we don't all travel togetehr but usually there are a few of us on the same flights. Some games there are 1or2 the bigger games; Reial Madriz, L'Espnayol can attract anything from 10-25? When the fixtures are announced, there is always 1 game a season when we try and get as many penya members over as possible, the last 2 seasons the games where there as been a Penya Meet-up, have fell in march/April time. Always a good weekend.
with the Spanish fixtures the dates are announced but we never know the day of the game until 2-7 days beforehand, which can cause problems to travelling over.

yeah its a bit silly not announcing games until such short notice, flights are really cheap though, im guessing a fri-mon stay is the best option. Hotels are really expensive though from past experience! Im gonna sign up to the penya is it worth signing up today or at the start of the season?

Our membership year runs from April-March so it's better if you sign up today. To save cash we sometimes organise among each other to rent an apartment which is significantly cheaper than a hotel. Welcome to the Penya by the way :tpr:

accomodation can vary, depends what sort your after, at times it cna be very expensive especially if left till the last minute, but also if booked in advance its cheap enough, we tend to if we know there a re a few going over, look at apaprtments which are really smart but also cheap when there are 4+ sharing. As for signing up now or at the start of the season, its entirely upto you ...

Great that you are thinking about joining the penya. The joining fee is 25.00 GBP and runs until 31 March 2011, so it makes no difference if you join now or in August, but obviously the sooner you do you will get to see more of the forum as a member (including tales from the trip next weekend)

I look forward to seeing you over in Barna next season for a match.

Welcome Nottingham Cule. Whereabouts in Notts are you from pal? Know the Meadows area quite well, Broadmarsh, Vic Centre etc in town - my old man lives up in South Normanton, nr Alfreton but whenever I've gone to see him, always spend time in Notts itself - great city

I used to fly from EMA to BCN with Easyjet but once they pulled out, I started to fly from Luton to BCN with Easyjet. Not tried Ryanair to Girona, worth a try I guess
