I think it is customary to post a little welcome on the boards so thought I would give it a blast.
So I'm David, I'm a Wolves season ticket holder and have been to most away games this season except for Sunderland and Blues.
Gonna be missing the Burnley game next weekend to go see the mighty Barca with a few of my friends against Valencia. I managed to go to this fixture last season as well and saw a 4-0 win along with the 6-1 against Atletico Madrid so am hoping for another mauling this time.
Just wondering if anyone could suggest any bars I could go to watch the Wolves game at? When I was over for the Valenica game I found an English pub showing the QPR game but this was on Sky so I need like a Sports Cafe showing all the games.
If anyone has a chance, please go on and search for 2 Good 2 Bad from MOTD2 on Sunday night. On the last clip from the Wolves game, my friend Matt heads the ball and I'm the one with the glasses on cowering behind like a big girl. So please feel free to go take a look and laugh away at me.
Looking forward to enoying the forum, cheers Adam!!

Welcome to the forum, have a few members in and around your area.
Also you have picked a good weekend to go over, as a Penya we are having a "big" meet up, around 15 members going over for the game, so if you fancy meeting up for a beer at some point grab some numbers off those going.
There is an Easyjey Sports Cafe towards the botton of La Ramblas, where you might be able to catch the wolves game.

HagleyNick has sent me through a PM already which was good. He might get on well with one of my friends going because he goes to the War Memorial Ground too to see the might Stourbridge.
I haven't got tickets yet for the game as just waiting for the date to be confirmed which should be any day soon. I have read on here it will be difficult for the 4 of us to be sat together for a big game. So it is looking like two two's.
Sounds like a good idea with the meet, I would like to find out more information about the Penya and how it works. Wish I had found this earlier the amount I have spent this season following Wolves home and away getting hammered each week.

Welcome mate,
The date was announced earlier today as the Sunday 14th

Ok brilliant, the first bit out the way. Now for getting the tickets. Last two times I went there were only two of us so we just went to the ground to get them. I sat in Gol Level 2 both times. The atmosphere here was quite good, maybe because they scored so early but where do the Penya normally sit?

Welcome to the forum David - hopefully catch you for a beer at some point next weekend.
If you are brave I would recommend waiting until Thursday night next week and get tickets from the official club website. Season ticket holders can release their seats via the website and the closer to the game the more that tend to be available.
Kick off next Sunday is 7pm local time

Ok brilliant. Both visits last time I got the tickets on the day of the game. Just went to the ground and got them from the ticket office there. But this time round as there is more of us I think it might be best to pre-book and collect them if we can get 4 together.
Can I use a regular Maesto card to pre-book tickets or does it have to be a credit card to collect them from the machine at the ground?

One of the big advantages of going through the official website is that you can print the tickets at home before you go. Saves a visit to the ticket office and often the need to provide ID at the collection point.

I will only get a web printout then rather than a matchday ticket though then. I want a ticket stub for my collection, I'm quite sad like that.

Hi mate, RE wolves - Burnley i think you will struggle to get the game on live, there are numerous bars on la rambla etc but if its not on in the UK, then its difficult for any bars to have it on! Spanish TV usually has 1 game on at 15.00BCT(Black Country Time) or 16CET, and that tends to be 1 of the SKY4.
Whos your mate who goes the War Memorail, i go most matches that i am in the UK for (have missed 2 FCB home games this season in La Liga). As mentioned game is a Sunday and tickets will be ok to get contray to the website.
As for living in rowley i work in Oldbury, small world eh?

Like you quote regarding the SKY4, I think when I was over for the Atletico game it was Blackburn and Liverpool. I was hoping there might be a local bar with a 'dodgy' aerial which might show them all.
I'm staying at Barcelo Sants Hotel when I go right above the station, it's not too pricey split between two and it's access in and around town.

I think I can be easily swayed! I've got the new away top ready to make it's debut next week :D
I have already paid for my season ticket for Wolves next season early but am having a few second thoughts after finding this place. I'm hoping the home games don't clash again next season.
What is the usual Penya night outs on a match weekend consist of?
HagleynickFCB
5th March 2010, 08:53
^^^ plenty of alcohol being consumed, and talking pissed up peanuts, aswell as being rejected by dank women! basicaly a normal Black Country night out!

Many years ago i would have said....happy hour starts at 6pm at €1 litre of bier. Must be half messed upbefore this hour though. From 7pm until your in the police station (4am ish) was quite a blur but it involved absinth, being naked, a night club, the beach and a motorbike.
For me it's now more like. Orange juice and maybe ONE Moritz or Estrella with good conversation with some decent lads. Maybe get on with a girl or two if i can be bothered and bed before 1am. Run at 7am (not from the Mossos).
Oh yea, welcome to the forum

LOL! I remember the alarm that was to tell you stop drinking 1hour before kickoff but when it went off you went and got another vodka coke and carried on till kickoff lol!
I can vouch for one thing and one thing only on a penya night out, a good time! I was tempted to say 2 things "alcohol & a good time" but some of our members don't drink so that wouldn't be fair. We can also be quite a civilised bunch until we get too late into the night!! lol

welcome to the forum,
I don't think there is such a thing as a regular style of night out with the penya. with so many different tastes there is usually something to get involved in whether its a meal, a few beers and good banter or a full blow out I am sure there will always be willing partners in crime.

Cheers lads for the welcomes, I've enjoyed reading the stories. Hopefully will have some of my own too, well hopefully not about being mugged by trannies I think that would be a bit too harrowing!
Hagley is on my flight from Liverpool so I can get all the details off of him so I'm waiting for his Penya pitch so to speak.
Just gotta get my tickets sorted, Hagley told me I can't pay cash at the turnstiles like before so I will defo need to pre-book now.

Hello people
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the Penyas that I met over the weekend and for making it such a top weekend for me and my friends. It was like we had known you for all years, defo will get my membership sorted and hopefully have more of the same soon.
I will try and get some pics up soon, that crazy Vienna woman (short back and sides) put my camera on video mode for the group photo in Bar Xavi. So wouldn't mind being sent through any decent ones of that.

For once my beer quota was sensible when compared to the collective consumption of the Yam Yam entourage. A Ramones belt conversation was somewhere near the end of it.

Cheers lads for the comments, was a funny weekend. My mate Danny would still be riding the metro now if we hadn't of got him off. Just totally oblivious to the world. What a pain in the arse it was trying to get them two out the room for some kip before our flights at 11.
The Barca team socks in jeans will be spreading now due to me mate Matt.
Razz was ace, we need to have a proper Penya dance off though next time out!
