Hi everyone
I am Niel (yes i spell it wrong - should be Neil - i would like to claim it was the Catalan spelling but i just started writing that way when i was little). I have been a Barca fan since visiting the city in 2002 - me and my wife started watching Spanish football as it was neutral territory (I am a Blackpool fan by birth - she is a Preston fan, traditionally almost as much dislike as Barca Real - but on a much smaller scale!). Our first game at the Nou Camp was in 2003 the final game of the season when Barca had to beat Celta to get into the champions league - we were there for a weeks holiday and it was just as La Porta won the election - i think our being there was just coincidence and did little for his campaign! :0)
Have only been to a few more games there (last one Mallorca in April last year - winner in the dying minuets) and we have also done a few other grounds round Spain (Bilbao, San Sebastien and Valencia ... oh OK i admit it Espanyol as well! :0). This was all in pre children days (we have 2 both pre school) so my Barca pleasures are mostly provided by Mark and Guillem now - though disappointed that Sky dont seem to be showing the Copa Del Rey final tomorrow! :0(
